Dad in the Marathon

Over the weekend, we went to Quad City (on the border of Illinois and Iowa for dad to run in a marathon. We stayed in a hotel (Days Inn) and enjoy watching the Disney Channel (we don't get in back LaGrange because we don't have cable). We had to take Dad to the starting line at 6:15. I was so tired because the following day, i had gotten up around that time to start our trip. We watched Dad start off and there were A LOT of people there watching and running. Then we went back to the hotel and watched "The Master of Disguise". It was SO funny! Dad got a good place in the race but he was injured. While at the hotel, John and I went swimming. The water dried out my skin and made my hair itching though. I think it's about time i take it out.
Anyway, the trip home was hard for me because i was so tired and if i slept with my head to one direction, it would hurt to turn it the other direction. So i sort of dozed off most of the time. I made it though, but I'll be sleeping well tonight. And i have school tomorrow and a big project (English: i have to teach the class how to play mancala).
Now we're back home and just had dinner at the church because there was a missionary talking about their work.
I had to leave Comet and Colby behind for our trip. I was so sad and scared that they wouldn't make it. But they did! Their water was very dirty and i had to change it all. Thank God that they were still alive. I have gotten really fond of them. They were my first friends here. i hope that i can bring them back to Niger but i know that is not possible. Besides, they wouldn't last that long. Maybe I'll find a home for them somewhere here.

The Clique Movie

The BEST book in the world is making a movie that comes out sometime this fall. I cannot wait to see my favorite book turned into a movie. To see the cast and who it's played by do a search on thecliquemovie.com. The clique movie was finished in March. please write a comment or answer my poll. It will be here for 4 more days. I will probably buy the movie and bring it back to Niger to share with my friends. Then I can get the librarian to buy the books for out library. That will be so cool.

High School Musical 3: Senior Year

High School Musical has been my favorite movie ever since my BFF told me about it. I love it so much! I've watched both movies and i own the second one. If i could meet one the cast members I'd have to choose between Lucas Grabeel and Zac Efron. They are my favorites. I think they're both so CUTE!
High School Musical 3: senior year comes out October 24! I will buy the CD as soon as i can!

The Clique movie comes out sometime in November i think. They finished the movie in March. I'll write more about this in my next post.

Taking my HAIR down

I've had my extensions in for about four months and I'm ready to get rid of it. It's takes like more than 30 minutes to dry my hair after a shower and it gets so dry and i have dry skin in my hair and it won't come out when i was it! I'm ready to have my hair straightened. The date for that will be Oct. 15.
Can you wait?

Gurrie's Fun Night

Today, i went to Gurrie's fun night. I'd never been to anything like it before. I went with two of my closest Gurrie friend, April and Susan. We had a good time taking a tour of everything that was happening before we settled down in the gym. The DJ was playing songs from Camp Rock, Jonas Brothers, and Miley Cyrus. After a while, i didn't know any of the songs except for two. We had a great time dancing by ourselves and jumping up and down, before it came time for the "slow dancing". This is where you find a partner and you put you hands on his shoulders and he puts his hands on your shoulders or around your waist. There were at least two guys that i didn't get to dance with that i wanted to but i had a GREAT time dancing with the ones i did have a chance to dance with. April was probably the bravest of us all. she walked around and asked boys to dance and we would do the same. I danced with two boys at least six times. It was great for my first dance/party/fun night. If i could do it again, i defiantly would!

John and Cassie

I don't mean to be mean to John but, he doesn't seem to be taking good care of his fish. Cassie probably died from poisonous water or not enough. I'm going to start going into John's room like once a week and see if Colby Jack and Colby Jack Jr. act like they're hungry. I know how to tell because Comet and Colby are ALWAYS hungry!!!! I don't want John's other fish to die. They might JUST be fish but to ME they are more than that.

Comet and Colby

Thanks to Pastor Bacon, i have had Colby and Comet for about four (or more) weeks. I'm very glad that he let me have them! they are so nice and sweet. Right now, Pastor Bacon is sick. So I've decided that I'm going to take a picture of Colby and Comet and send it to him. He'll really like that
This might be silly but I'm going to have a party for my fish. The lady at PETCO told us that these fish won't last a week. WELL, Comet and Colby are swimming around in their home playing tag. I'm so glad that she wasn't right this time!!! I'm inviting Colby Jack and Colby Jack Jr. (John's fish) to the party. I wish Cassie could come but he's dead. This week I'm going to go to PETCO and get some bloodworms for the party. Goldfish love bloodworms but they're more for a snack. I could make goody bags for all the guest. I love doing things for animals and one thing i really love is animal parties. It's fun to pretend that the fish are people and do people things for them.
