Go Gurrie Tigers!

I've been in public school for almost three weeks and I'm really enjoying it. I've made at least eight friends and they're all very nice. I even went over to one of their houses! That's a START! Her name is Susan and she's great friends with me and April.
My favorite thing about school would be walking from classroom to classroom. It feels so good to be free instead of sitting down ALL DAY LONG! I also like my locker. It's crammed but as soon as i print out some pictures of my friends i will feel much more at home. I also like to take notes. It's really fun! (that sounds a little weird but that's me! Yea ME!)
Another think i like about school is that i get to pick out something cool to wear everyday. It's a little better than dressing in Niger because i knew everyone and i couldn't make a friend when someone complimented me on my outfit. But here, i can make a friend, and a conversation, when someone compliments me on my outfit. This weekend I'm going to rearrange my closet so that i have my favorite fashions ready for Monday.
It's a little sad being away from John, but if he was there at Gurrie with me, i would have to watch out for him all the time. And he's happy at his other school too so i don't think he really misses me (although we aren't spending a lot of time together).

Altogether, i think I LOVE public school and I'll miss it when i go back to Africa.

I miss my parrot

I just saw Mrs. Mattimoe's blog and I started missing my parrot. We had to leave him with our 5th and 6th grade teacher while we're here in the US. I REALLY miss him and hope that NOTHING happens to him while we're gone.

Casey the Fish

John has (had) this fish that he got from PETCO that he named Casey. Just two days ago, Cassie was found dead in John's fish tank. We have no idea how he died but I think it was from the water. John hardly ever changes it, and he can for get to feed his fish all the time and go a week with out remembering their names. I feel so sorry for Colby Jack Jr. and the other fish that are still alive. They will miss him i think. John ended up flushing poor casey down the toilet. Good old John.

Comet and Colby are alright and they are the sweetest fish in the world. They are still alive and i think they miss Casey (although they only saw him like three or four times). I would break down and cry if either one of them died. They are both very dear to me. I can tell them a lot of things, just like i used to tell Addy secrets. I usually feed them a couple times a day, but sometimes i feed them like this: once before i go to school, once when i get back, once before or after dinner, and once before i go to bed. I hope I'm doing the right thing 'cause they get hungry and i know how to tell. Also, they give me little kisses at night by nibbling on my fingers. It tickles and i love them for caring just like i care for them. THANK YOU PASTOR BACON!!!

My fav book in the whole world is now going to be a movie this fall!!!! I'm so happy and I'll probably be one of the first girls to buy it! Keep an eye out for it!
