Fish!

Just yesterday, I got the call i had been waiting for. The pastor at our church said i could have a fish! So the same day, i went down to PETCO with my dad and brother to get two fish (this is because one fish would be lonely without a friend). they were very helpful and i bought goldfish flakes, a thermometer, gravel, and two Comet Goldfish. John was unhappy that i had gotten a fish (even though i spent $14! on one) so he was able to convince Dad into letting him buy a small fish home, a statue thing to go in the bowl, and a goldfish. John only got one so I'm really guessing that his fish is really lonely. You can't really really tell the gender of the fish so i chose two girls. The first one, is orange and white so I named her Colby Jack after the cheese. The second one if white, orange, and black and orange and black are my school colors back in Niger. So i named it Sahel's Comet after the girls' softball team (the Comets). ALSO, she was a COMET goldfish so it fit perfectly. I'm really hoping they will last at least a month because the lady said they can die easily and may only last a week. I really hope not! I woke up at 7:30 this morning to feed Comet and Colby and i found out that Colby is a food hog. He tried to eat all Comet's food. Comet doesn't eat as fast so i had to worry about her. She also threw up so of the food she ate and COLBY ATE IT! YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Colby, you're really disgusting. But i know it's normal with fish.

IN: washing dishes, new school, friends, getting lost, short blankets, CLEAN room, Hilary Duff CD, movies with Lucas Grabeel, and rain.

OUT: Lizzie Mcguire Movie, little brothers that sneeze, dirty toe nails, seeing friends in 2010, and falling cloth bulletin boards.

Lost @ the Lincoln Park Zoo

A few days ago, my family went to the zoo (see title). While we were there, i got lost. I thought my family was going to the monkeys outside the monkey building so that was where i went. It turns out, i was wrong and they were actually inside. I was so scared and i kept praying and reciting Psalm 139. Then, i got lost a second time, but it was only for less than a minute. I'm glad to be back home now....SAFE.

breakfast- 2 glasses of milk, 4 pieces of bacon, half slice of toast

lunch- ham sandwhich, 2 glasses of milk/juice, side dish of your choice

dinner- whatever you mom serves you!

Waterparks

Today, we went to a waterpark;me and my Bible group Powersource. John went along 'cause my mom came. It was so big that i didn't know where to start. I had made like four friends named Megan, Abrina, Hannah, and Riana. We went in groups and tried out all the rides. Some were intense and some weren't so exciting. But all together, i had lots of fun and made my first friends while i was here in America.
